The very first World Series Of Poker took place with just a handful of players, and the public paid no attention to the event. Basically, no one outside of Las Vegas was aware of the World Series of Poker or that it even existed.
Many years later, the World Series Of Poker has grown to become the world’s most prestigious poker tournament in the world. From 2005 to 2021, the event was held in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. In 2022, the event moved for the first time to the Las Vegas Strip at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas. What began as just one small tournament is now a grand event with 101 different poker events.
